They released the new international poster for Captain America recently...

What do you think?

Re: The Captain America/Chris Evans Thread
I prefer the second poster but neither excite me too much. I think Chris has more to lose than Jason on action movie. I hope it's not a stinker, he's more of a US hero.
Are you excited by them?

Re: The Captain America/Chris Evans Thread
I am glad you liked it! I have read quite a few good reviews, but so far they have all been from US sites. I mean, the film is about Captain America, and the guy runs around dressed in your flag, which I am sure stirs up feelings of patriotism. I am just curious how that will carry over with a Brit/European audience. It wont bother an Americophile like myself, but I have heard a few moans on twitter that once again Hollywood has the US saving the world.
I am definitely going to see it when it comes out. Thanks for the post credits tip - I thought there would probably be a little something, as this seems to be very de riguer in Hollywood at the moment. They have done it on all the other Avenger films so far.

Re: The Captain America/Chris Evans Thread
Captain America was a goodie huh? Well I know you'd have been so disappointed if it'd been a dud. Better than Thor how, script, less CGI or acting? I'd like to see it but hubby's not up for that one and I'm trying to win him over to see Conan so might have to wait for rental.
I AM going to see The Avengers though. Loved the picture would be great as a banner * cough * * cough *
Can you PM me about the end ? Or place it here in a spoiler?

Re: The Captain America/Chris Evans Thread
I think it was just an overall better movie going experience than Thor. Of course, as everyone knows I really really enjoyed Thor. Same thing with X-Men. Depending on what goes on in the next few weekends, I might go see another matinee.
The effects were very good. I was a little worried about the pre-serum Steve cuz I thought it looked god-awful in the commercials but they definitely fleshed it out in the movie. There was only one or two shots where I thought it really looked noticeable.
I've seen lots of complaints from non Americans about stuff like that and well, there's not much to say that will change anyone's opinion. It's based on a comic that was made decades ago about a fictional character in a real war. I didn't get the 'Americans are better than everyone' vibe that others seem to zero in on in movies like this (the second star of the movie is a smart, quick witted, beautiful, high-ranking military British woman and the black guy ISN"T the first to die) but yeah, his name is Captain America, his outfit is red, white and blue and he's from Brooklyn. So I mean, either go and have a little fictional fun or stay home and conjure up a non-American superhero of your own.
There were one or two little things that I didn't fully understand but I think they'll be fleshed out in the following films. What I do love is the subtle little tie-ins to the other movies that they've thrown in. Really makes me excited for The Avengers. So, who will be joining me at the midnight showing of that one next year?
Dean, I'll PM you.

Re: The Captain America/Chris Evans Thread
I'll be going for sure to see it but you're 5 hours behind so I will be in bed then !
Excited for The Avengers, it will need it's own thread as there will be so many heroes in that posts will end up all over the place.

Re: The Captain America/Chris Evans Thread
Yes, an Avengers thread might be a great idea. I am super excited. I was curious who they will have in it, character wise. I know that there is the people we have already seen in the other films - Thor, Loki, Hawkeye, Hulk, Iron Man, Nick Fury, Black Widow and Captain America. I had hoped they would squeeze in Ant Man and Wasp too, as they were always really great characters and are founding members of The Avengers, but they dont appear to be listed on IMDB so I guess they are not in it.
Re: The Captain America/Chris Evans Thread
I know no history of Black Widow, Nick Fury or Hawkeye. Would you consider Madnad giving us a little info on who is who, not pages don't want to scare you but just something so we know like Thor oh he's son of so and so. Interested ?
You can say no, not really

Mkay, well since we've now got an Avengers page, let me bring this topic back home with some loveliness...
What's Captain America doing with the Queen of Louisiana? LOL!
Yeah, yeah, I know, most of these are pretty old. Sorry, I'm just being really lazy lately...

Yeah the whole premiere ensem was just a big ole NO for me, lol! About the eyelashes... not to sound like a total stalker but he seems to have pretty big/thick/well-defined/whatever you want to call it eyelashes in general.
