Season 3 Discussion... Contains Spoilers for 1-2 (3 as it airs)

So I have caught up now on the last two episodes. OMG they were brilliant, probably the best of the season.

I was sorry to see Talbot get staked, seriously Russell you need to let go of the intestines and get some therapy.

Franklyn no, he was wonderfully crazy.

Sam showed some balls for once, respect him a bit now if he could get rid of Tommy, what an annoying git.

So if Crystal is a shifter how come Tommy and Sam didn't sense them?

Yay, Hoyt dumped Summer, now how about letting Jessica feed on the annoying dwarf.

Jason finally started to resemble what we knew him to originally be. Loved how he got Bill out of the house. Thumbs up for having the courage to tell Tara about Eggs.

Eric and Pam great pair, love how we finally get to see some emotion between those two, is it okay to go ahhhhh when he cuddled Pam and told her it was time she made her own vamp?

Anyone else laugh out loud at the opening to this weeks show when Sookie exclaimed, "I'm a fairy?"

I don't think TPTB will kill off Eric, he might be close to True Death but the viewers would never forgive Alan Ball so I'm curious how they'll get back at Russell.

Great to have your mind back. Sam and Tommy did sense them. The first time daddy came in with the fiance, and they got into an argument. When the daddy called him a shapeshifter like it was a trash thing to be and they walked out, Tommy sniffs the air and asks Sam if he smells that, and Sam said yes.

I'd forgotten that so thanks for the reminder I tend to drift a bit when it's the shifter's.

One thing, when Tommy attacked Hoyt do you think he did so because he really knew how Jessica felt about Hoyt and if he threatened Hoyt's life she'd interceed and thus bring the couple together ? I'm not 100% sure Tommy did it out of spite as I think he really likes Jessica. Of course I could be just giving the guy too much credit.

So you know the guy Jesus, Lafeyettes guy? Well he's been in lots of shows I now remember him from. He was in Weeds (funny show) and Sons of Anarchy too.

I think Tommy was just pissed because Hoyt made her upset. I don't think he was trying to be matchmaker or anything. I wonder if they will have the V amp up Hoyt any. Where you not shocked at Sam's past?

It doesn't seem to fit with him, he's always been depicted as mild mannered, I just can't get too interested in Sam.

Just realized I forgot to comment on your Russell statement. Funny as hell. Yes, that poor vamp definitely needs some serious therapy.

So... they can shift into panthers. Are they called werepanthers, then? That sounds a bit lame, hopefully there's a better name further along. OH you know what I just thought of, now Jessica will be able to sense whenever Hoyt's in danger & he'll be having those sex dreams about her, lol! Did you see the previews for next week. I forget what she said, but she was telling him something while sitting on the couch. Did you see hims shirt? Looked like one of Eric's tracksuit jackets, lol!

I thought Shifters could change into any animal but probably not werewolves as thats not the norm.

I've seen a quick glimpse of next week but was too busy drooling over Eric to make much sense.

I don't think they're straight up shifters though, cuz when the dad called Sam a shifter, he said it like it was a derogatory term.

Maybe it's just the daughter who can shift?

I'm thinking it's a whole clan of cats. I keep meaning to google about it but totally forget.

Ok, moving on to this most recent episode...

I can't give one of my in depth reviews right now hut I just wanted to make mention on my favorite part of the episode, Hoyt & Jessicas reunion. I really really really hope they don't pull what would be a sad and depressing move that they do in movies looking to make you cry. You know, where one character (Mama Fortenberry) is out to kill one character (Jessica) but somehow accidentally ends up killing (the character they were trying to protect (Hoyt). I think there's a lot they could do with this relationship, both funny & dramatic. And I don't know about you guys, but I just don't really care much about Bill & Sookie as a couple anymore. Not that I want to see them with other characters, but just ehh, not really feeling it. and sheesh, I almost choked on my chicken when Jesus jumped up in that HAlloween goblin mask! Lol! Oh now see, I gotta go. Keep rambling, LOL!

So over Bill and Sookie - turn her already and go have your happy, average vampire/fairy life with your average personalities and looks please. Love Hoyt and Jessica. Either Lafayette or Jesus are going to be revealing something about themselves soon for sure, either already known or maybe even shocking them. No Eric no! I haven't checked into the books, but surely, Eric is not going to die. That would suck eggs big time. Oh sorry! Not Tara's Eggs, but you know like chicken eggs. Which reminds me how could she have found her true love when they actually only knew each other for what? a few weeks?

I so don't care about those two anymore, in fact Sookie is just plain annoying.

Pam I hoped she'd be able to bitch slap Bill, I'm glad she was okay in the end. Yikes Eric eeek 2 weeks you sods! I don't think they'd let Eric die, we might be forced to wait for the following season but I'm sure they'd not get rid of him, we'd have heard anyway I reckon.

Glas Jessica and Hoyt are together, that moms scary. I can see a confrontation between mama Hoyt and Jessica.

I think Lafayette is a Shaman or something, I don't know but his mom was on about it when she was rambling. Not the only one Sam who jumped at that mask.

So the finale people. I see no reviews so I'll start the ball rolling.


I really did like the scenes with Eric, Russell, Sookie and Bill. Nice to see Godric back if only fleetingly, is he trying to make Eric the good guy? Loved the make up for Mr. Crispy Head, when Sookie chucked Talbots remains in the garbage disposal she actually looked slightly deranged.

As for Alcide I was disappointed this season with the werewolves, I think he'd have been better as a human, fighting Bill for Sookie's affections but giving her the option of a normal life.

Jason what so suddenly in the last week the guy gets a brain and becomes a hero, so over that character.

Tara has a new hairdo, I knew she was going to go, she'll be back when she hears Sookie is missing. Glad Sam came clean with Tara he seems to have gotten a back bone and not such a push over. Yes he sorted out Tommy.

Hoyt and Jessica, alright they have a home. Did I smile at the intervention at Hoyt's work, I think trouble with a capital T is going to hit those two next year.

For a moment when Bill pushed in Eric and ordered Pam's death I thought he'd finally shown his true side not the sugary southern good ole boy. Was I so pleased when Eric showed up and explained to Sookie about Erics comings and goings. pam being safe was good too.

What have I not covered? Generally it was good an ending to Russell but with the ability for the guy to come back, Sookie moving on and Eric getting a form of revenge. It was weak in places, the werewolves, Jason the Hill Billy and the shape shifters but the other stuff made up or it. The best season I think so far for me.

Oh yes Lafayette.

I think Jesus manipulated him, I think he knew he had abilities (seeing as he's a witch) and decided to help those abilities a long for what purpose I don't know but part of me is unsure of Jesus motives now.
